剧情简介

雨夜，某市外经贸委副主任李兆被发现死在家中，死因是头部和心脏遭到枪击。知情者周冰倩报了案，刑警大队长罗大任得知后立刻赶到案发现场。从现场看李兆是自杀， 与此同时，与李兆同住一楼的“青山工程”工程师付工突发心脏病入院，在围观的人群中，罗大任认出了酒吧女服务员夏姗姗，夏不自然的表情引起了罗的怀疑。 罗大任和李兆二十年前曾在同一部队，并有生死之交。出于对死者的感情和对案发现场的分析，罗坚持认为他杀，而省公安厅处长胡建林则认为李兆和该市“青山工程”泄密有关，认为李兆是自杀，两人发生激烈冲突，于是带领各自的人马分头调查。夏姗姗被歹徒孙彪绑架，被警察解救后却不愿说出事实真相。孙彪被警察抓住后坦白地说，夏姗姗的干姐--歌星梅玫手里有一个箱子，内装日本人解放前在东北发行的股票，价值几百万美金，而梅玫被人杀害后，箱子的下落不明，孙彪劫持夏姗姗...。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
