剧情简介

根据美国作家亨利·詹姆斯的小说改编，以百年前的波士顿为故事背景，描写克里斯多夫·李维与梅特琳·波特之间一段波折重重的爱情。因导演詹姆斯·伊沃里在此片的手法还不够圆熟（他是在两年后执导《窗外有蓝天》才建立起名牌声誉的），故男女主角的爱情显得有点干涩，倒是一群演技派的女角丰富了本片的时代风貌，包括范尼莎·雷德格雷夫、洁西卡·坦迪、琳达·亨特等都演出精彩，在摄影、美术、服装等技术层面也制作严谨，令观众在视觉上颇有收获。。The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。
